First hackathon preparation checklist

Before the event

• Read eligibility, team-size and submission rules.
• Choose a problem you can explain and scope a small prototype.
• Bring a charged laptop, charger, student ID and any required adapters.
• Install tools ahead of time and back up important work.
• Check travel, accessibility, food and emergency-contact information.

During the build

Agree on roles, save work often, credit assets, take breaks and ask organizers for help when needed. Confirm real logistics directly with official event organizers.
